Milo was sitting on the floor with his head on Eric's knee and practicing forming a shadow between his two hands. There was a little gray wolf on the hearth rug next to a girl who was polishing and restringing her bows. There was a little brown wolf tussling with a rope toy and trying to get a HUGE black wolf to play with him.

Marcus lolled his tongue out and then went to flop on Lucas. Christine slipped around behind Esteban to nibble at his neck.

The trio were just starting to get to their business when a pretty blond woman walked in and settled against the massive black wolf.

Marcus licked her cheek and Lucas shifted up to kiss her properly.

[super_danii]

Eric nodded to them.

"You see, Milo? He does come out of his fur occasionally."

Lucille turned to him and nuzzled his cheek.

[super_lars]

Milo smiled and watched them.

"But only ever for her."

[sv_danii]

"Yes, which is as it should be. You'll notice Marcus is only rarely out of his fur as well."

[super_lars]

"Yeah, usually only for Kurt, but Esteban is in and out of fur all the time. Why is that?"

[sv_danii]

"Esteban is a chimera," he admitted with a spread of his hands, "and his Animus is not his only trait."

Milo was about to ask about that when Marcus yipped, and then barked, and bolted for the door.

The boy who walked in then was dressed all in black. He bore a definite resemblance to Christine, but his features were harder, sharper, and he was a little taller as well. He leaned down to let Marcus lick his hands.

Marcus jumped on him once in excitement, and then started vigorously cleaning his hands.

Eric pointed.

"I don't believe you've met Kurt before. He's been on a mission for the Crown, as he often is."

[super_lars]

Milo sat up in Eric's lap to have a look at Kurt.

"No, I have not, Monsieur. Am I to serve him as well?"

[sv_danii]

Eric spread his hands.

"You are not to 'serve' anyone, my dear boy. You are here as a guest as the others are. Though from what I understand, Kurt and Marcus are somewhat exclusive."

Milo actually looked mildly disappointed.

"They're very sweet together."

Once the cleaning was done, Marcus shifted up to skin and bounced up for a kiss.

Kurt lifted him for a sweet kiss before cuddling the boy in his arms and carrying him to a corner near the fire for further attention.

Milo perked up when he saw Marcus shift.

"He's really pretty!"

[sv_danii]

Eric chuckled.

"Yes, he is. They're very lovely."

[super_lars]

"How did you find all of us? You live in the middle of nowhere."

[sv_danii]

He laughed at that.

"And where else does one find a wolf pack?"

[super_lars]

"In the woods, I'd imagine, but I am no wolf."

[sv_danii]

"And there are plenty of woods around here. And to the contrary, I spend enough time in town. I'm a Queen's man myself."

[super_lars]

"Really? What does the Queen require your services for?"

[sv_danii]

"I handle business she doesn't care to handle herself," he said with a little smile.

He smirked.

"Like ravishing every beautiful young person in the land?"
